One and a half or 2 years after the birth of a child, women begin to think about going to work. But where to go? Is it worth returning to the previous place and what to do if there was no work at all? Another problem is increased anxiety. It's no joke, to fall out of life for 2-3 years. Returning to a normal rhythm is always a huge stress. However, there is no such situation from which there would be no way out. Let's try to figure out how to cope with emotions and find a decent job.

The first step is getting rid of anxiety and insecurity

As the saying goes, the best way to deal with fear is to face it. There is a joke among many young mothers - what kind of job, and what kind of diploma, if only children's poems and the ability to cook porridge are left in the head from knowledge? In fact, everything is not so global. If you doubt your abilities, are not confident in yourself and do not know who you should work with, try to do one small exercise:

1. Sit down and take a comfortable posture. Close your eyes and imagine that you are sitting on a high mountain from which you can see the tops of trees, rivers and a long road.

2. imagine that this road is your life. The beginning of the path is your birth, and the horizon is your future.

3. looking down on your life, start remembering the brightest moments of it. Those cases when you, more than ever, felt at your best, at the peak of fame and self-satisfaction. Remember what these moments were, and under what circumstances they occurred.

4. Arm yourself with a notebook and a pen and write down 10 examples each of when you felt happy, loved, successful, etc.

5. Analyze your notes after the exercise. They will give you the answer to the question of what you want and can do in this life, who you can become and what success you can achieve.

Through this exercise, you will regain confidence in yourself and in your strengths. You must realize your uniqueness and understand what you would like to do and what gives you the most pleasure.

Thus, having understood yourself, you need to move on to the second stage - directly to the job search.

The second step - activity and demand give rise to proposals

The main rule that a woman on maternity leave should learn is that you don’t have to wait until they find you and offer you a job. Start preparing for the search yourself. Of course, child, this is your advantage, because. there is a guarantee that in the near future you will definitely not go on maternity leave. However, on the other hand, employers do not really favor young mothers. There are several reasons for this:

1. the level of your knowledge after leaving the decree, as a rule, leaves much to be desired.

2. No one has canceled such a factor as the child's adaptation to kindergarten. Employers will not be happy with an employee who often takes sick leave because of a child.

3. Another major reason is uncertainty. After the decree, it is quite difficult for a woman to assess her strength as an employee. Plus, a few extra pounds left after childbirth depress almost everyone. And this fact will not go unnoticed.

What to do, you ask? You have to work and life goes on. And your task is to break into this life and demolish all the obstacles in your path. Just heed some advice:

1. Before you start looking for a job, work out the necessary options for caring for your child: who will take him to kindergarten and sit with him on sick leave, make sure that your baby has already adapted enough to the kindergarten regime, and, in addition, understands that Mom will be away for the whole day until evening.

2. When the issue with the organization of the baby's time is resolved, try to go on vacation and take a break from the baby and the current daily routine. It is extremely important for you to change the situation and take a break before looking for a job. Take care of your figure, health, wardrobe and appearance. Call for help those who have not fallen out of life for 2-3 years and understand modern trends.

3. Make yourself a competent resume. The exercise that was recommended to you at the very beginning will help you determine your knowledge and merits.

4. The main assistant in finding a job is the Internet. Today, more and more young mothers find work at home (the so-called freelance) or, upon exiting maternity leave, study search engines in search of work. Needless to say, not without success.

5. Pay attention to sites that provide job search services. You can leave your resume there and receive a list of all the vacancies that suit you daily by mail. If you find something interesting, you can call a potential employer or send your resume for consideration. And all this without leaving home! You can also peep on such sites how a resume is drawn up correctly and add interesting facts about yourself to what is written.

Step three - go to the interview

Once you have been scheduled for an interview, remember a number of important rules before starting a conversation:

1. Note that your child is already in kindergarten and in case of illness, someone will sit with him.

2. Tell the truth about the true state of things in your life. For example, that you did not have a permanent place of work, but while on maternity leave, you constantly followed the new areas of activity that you chose, etc. The main thing is to communicate with potential management in business language and radiate self-confidence.

3. Even if you were refused, you should not be upset. So this is not the job that you need and it's good that the person who did not see your potential will not be your boss.

Remember the main thing - in any business, whether it is a job search, or life realization, you first of all need self-confidence. Once you can believe in yourself as an excellent specialist, employers will have no other choice but to believe in it too. In any case, you were able to give birth and raise a child to your feet, and this is already a heroic deed worthy of your pride. Keep that pride and you'll be fine!
